Maxfield LA

By Vic Gerami

Maxfield is more than a destination: it is a state of mind. luxury boutique with curated designer and vintage collections for men and women.

Maxfield embodies sophistication in every aspect of presentation and sensibility from vintage vitrines filled with antique cartier and hermés, to the clothing racks of exquisitely curated designer collections and modern day icons. it is part museum, part art gallery, part boutique. haute taste, whimsical, and artistic curiosity merge and together create a unique sensibility.

Tommy Perse opened Maxfield in 1969 mindfully creating the first concept store. he introduced “black” as color to los angeles and made it synonymous with chic. he brought the vanguard in fashion to the city and to the global fashion arena with rick owens, comme des garcons, chrome hearts, and yohji yamamoto. he discovered the talents of simon doonan who created the controversial windows of maxfield. his discerning eye still leads him around the world seeking out treasures. in turn, shopping at maxfield is like taking a journey around the world through the lens of a fashion mastermind and premiere tastemaker. discovery is just part of the adventure, and maxfield is more than a destination: it is a state of mind.
