Rose Grigoryan Announces Endorsement,
Accelerating Kbushyan’s Momentum for LA City Council District 2
Los Angeles — Today, social and economic justice advocate, small business owner, and non-profit board member Sam Kbushyan proudly announced the endorsement of former Los Angeles City Council Candidate Rose Grigoryan. Upon exiting the Special Primary Election in April, Grigoryan endorsed Imelda Padilla, who won the vote for LA Council District 6.
‘Imagine a city where passion meets purpose, and progress thrives in every neighborhood. That’s the vision Sam Kbushyan brings to Los Angeles City Council District 2. With a heart dedicated to our community and a unifier’s vision as vast as our city’s potential, Sam is my choice for the positive change we’ve been waiting for. We are unified for a brighter future. Hold our hand! Vote for Sam for District 2,’ said Grigoryan in a statement.
Kbushyan welcomed the endorsement, stating, ‘As an immigrant and a small business owner, Rose has been fighting tirelessly for affordable housing, public safety, and small businesses. Her policy positions and approach are very similar to mine, and I look forward to working with her when I’m elected to the Council.’
Before she was a candidate and owned her business, Grigoryan’s first job in the US was at a bridal shop, carrying dresses to the fitting rooms. She would later spend seven years at the Southern California TV network, the Armenian Television Network, the first and largest Armenian TV network in Los Angeles. Today, she owns a business specializing in marketing and financial investment for other companies.
Sam is a social and economic justice advocate, small business owner, and non-profit board member. Sam immigrated to Los Angeles when he was ten and is the son of a business owner; his mother was a proud member of UTLA and SEIU 434B – now SEIU 2015.

Sam completed his BA at Cal State LA and his graduate degree at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. Sam operates Sam Kbushyan Group (SKG), which helps small businesses and non-profits navigate the bureaucracy to deliver services to our community.
Sam serves on the LA Community Alliance and Immigrants Charitable Foundation boards. In 2022, Sam was reappointed to a second term as a Commissioner of the Department of Consumer Affairs’ Respiratory Care Board of California.
