For twelve months, Sunrise CBD will be partnering with a different nonprofit or coalition every month to give back to communities both local and national. The initiative is called ‘Project Sunrise.’
The recipient of the first donation for January is Burbank, CA-based suicide prevention and suicide awareness 501©3 charity, You Matter-Not Alone (YMNA). “We decided to start with YMNA because they are of great service to the community, especially those at the greatest risk of suicide, veterans, teens and the elderly,” said Jim Hefner, founder of Sunrise CBD.
“A part of our company’s values is to advocate for healthy living and the healing potential within nature and our bodies. We think people deserve an alternative to substances that are addictive, ineffective or harmful. With our success so far, we feel privileged to have the ability to help other organizations that share our values,” added Hefner.
The brand’s focus this year will be organizations that empower through education, advocacy, and charity. Donation to a new organization will be announced at the beginning of every month.
