Thought she humbly calls herself, “just a comedian”, Margaret Cho is so much more. Being a successful comedian for over twenty years is impressive on its own, but she has-stood up for a lot more than stand-up. She has transcended boundaries as an actress, humanitarian, women’s, Asians and LGBT Rights Advocate, designer and a writer.

Your iconism is multi-layered, dense and transcends various stereotypes. So, modesty aside, how would you describe yourself? I’m a comedian – that’s it! I do a lot of things, but basically I’m just a comic.

How is West Hollywood / Los Angeles different than other major cities? I love WeHo and I’ll always live here. It’s my home and I miss it when I’m gone. We have everything here and the diversity is profound!

Do adoring fans ever get too much?
Never! I love my fans!

What do you like about West Hollywood?
Everything I need is just a few steps away. And all my friends are here!
