CAROL BURNETT TO BE HONORED AT LA PRESS CLUB’S AWARDS GALA

LA Press Club hosts the 11th Annual National Arts & Entertainment journalism Awards (NAEJ), tonight, Sunday, December 2nd, 2018. The gala takes place at the Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.

Carol Burnett

Legendary comic and actress, Carol Burnett, will accept the Legend Award.

The Legend Award honors individuals within the Entertainment Industry for both their Lifetime Achievement and their Contributions to Society – artistically as well as on a humanist level.

George Pennacchio

ABC7’s Entertainment Reporter George Pennacchio will receive the Luminary Award for Career Achievement in Media. The Los Angeles Times Food Critic Jonathan Gold will be honored posthumously with the Impact Award, accepted by his wife Laurie Ochoa. Author, former crime reporter and producer Michael Connelly will accept the Distinguished Storyteller Award.

The Los Angeles Press Club has a long and storied history as one of the oldest and most prestigious journalist organizations in the country, serving the Southland since 1913. The NAEJ event is a fundraiser for the LA Press Club, a 501c3 charitable organization.

The club established the NAEJ Awards in 2008 to recognize and honor quality journalism in the fastest growing segment of the modern media revolution. It remains the sole acknowledgement of its kind in the nation and has become a much anticipated celebration for those covering the Entertainment Industry and its artists.
